How do you feel about 'road diets'?
Petaluma residents participating in an Argus-Courier online survey July
18, 2007 said that it's time to go on a road diet. Half, 53 percent, of
those responding to the survey said that they support the concept of a
road diet (lane reduction) as a traffic-calming measure. Thirty-two
percent of respondents felt that a road diet was a bad idea, while 14
percent were not sure.

How do you feel about freight trains coming through Petaluma?
Let the trains roll through Petaluma. Eighty-one percent of those who
participated in an Argus-Courier online poll July 11, 2007 said that
they support plans for rail freight service to run through Petaluma. Of
those who responded to the question, 13 percent don't support the idea
of freight service while 5 percent were undecided.

An Argus-Courier online poll July 4, 2007 showed that Petalumans are
closely divided on whether to ban fireworks in the city, with 44.1
percent supporting a ban and 48.5 percent opposing it.
